Washington DC's Immortal Regiment & Victory Day.
The 9th of May Is Victory Day also known of as "V day", and is the anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi's in WWII. Victory day is a very big holiday in Russia but not a widely celebrated one in the USA. We went to the WWII memorial in Washington DC, the USA capital, to see what observations of Victory Day would there be and to find out what the Americans thought of Victory Day as well as of Russia for that matter. Many people were present there, but not because it was Victory Day but just there for the memorial in general. Many people there were clearly very patriotic but did not necessarily know that it was Victory Day. Gary Secor, along with his wife, was there to remember people from the “Famous” 299th Combat Engineer Battalion where he served later. Being aware that they fought in the war, still he had no clue it was Victory Day. He said that to him victory day reminded him of the greatest generation the USA has ever had and that it showed "if you mess with USA you will lose"
As the day went on, however, we met some people who were there to take part in the Immortal Regiment live online event; they were the organizers for Washington DC. The Immortal Regiment is a very big part of the Russian tradition of the yearly Victory Day celebrations where people gather and march with photos of their family members who had taken part in WWII.
One of the organizers Olga said "every year we start at the white house and come to the WWII memorial with hundreds of people but now for the second year in a row it is online due to Covid but we hope next year to be back.One of the participants was Daniela Addison, whose grandfather was a pilot and helped to rescue 1769. Although from a Russian-Ukrainian family and, she was born in the USA and now serves as a US Marine, stationed in Washington.
The other organizers were Russian Americans that were born in Russia but live in the USA. They all had photos of their grandparents who fought in WWI against the Nazis. One woman even had a family member that also fought the Japanese in Manchuria.
Due to Covid-19, most Immortal Regiment parades are online and this is why there was not many people but the overall feeling of remembering your family was there for sure. It was very interesting to see the difference of how much more Russian people celebrate Victory day more than Americans do. This is probably due to the fact that up to 27,000,000 Russians were killed in WWII and whereas the US lost about 400,000 people. Of course, this does not belittle the USA's involvement in the war but these figures really show how much the war really affected the Russian people and culture.

Ukraine Has Purportedly fired a US-supplied HiMARS rocket on a civilian apartment building in Kuibishevsky Region Donetsk.
Russian and DPR forces accuse Ukraine of firing US-supplied HiMARS rocket on a civilian apartment building in Kuibishevsky Region Donetsk.
In this report we were on the location of the attack yesterday. Please comment below if you can I identify what it is.

The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) is a light multiple rocket launcher developed in the late 1990s for the United States Army, mounted on a standard Army M1140 truck frame.

The HIMARS carries six rockets or one MGM-140 ATACMS missile on the U.S. Army's new Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) five-ton truck and can launch the entire Multiple Launch Rocket System Family of Munitions (MFOM). HIMARS ammunition is interchangeable with the MLRS M270A1; however, it is only able to carry one pod rather than the standard two for the M270 and A1 variants.
At least 4 have been given to Ukraine by the USA.
It is unclear if they are in activ use yet but this attack was made by something that seems not to be Fromm Ukraine, Russia or the USSR

BREAKING NEWS: Russia Says it has Detained 3 Ukrainian Naval Ships Breaking Russian Borders in Kerch Strait Crimea

Ukraine sent 2 small naval ships & a tug through the Kerch straights to go from Odessa to Mariupol without Russian authorization. They were stopped & Ukraine sent ships from Berdyansk in support & they were stopped. Russia defended the waters and impacted the tug while stopping them. (as seen in the video). Ukraine claimed two of the ships were fired on, injuring two military sailors, & that 3 ships were captured by Russian forces. Russia scrambled SU-25 jets & KA-52 helicopters over the straights.
Later Ukraine claimed two of their ships are being towed by another and they are being escorted by the Russian military. Ukraine now claims six sailors are injured.
The Russian Secret service "FSB" says "The UKRAINIAN NAVAL SHIPS "BERDYANSK", "NIKOPOL" and "YANY KAPU" after breaking the BORDER OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION have been DETAINED"
Russia says this was a provocation by Ukraine to increase tensions in the region.
As a former US Navy sailor, I say: there is a process for these ships to pass through the straights safely. Why were these sailors put at risk this time when the process was followed many times before? It seems just Ukrainian political gain. Also I would be interested to know why the "YANY KAPU" not flying the Ukrainian flag, was it trying to hide?

Today is Russian Orthodox Easter and we decided to show you how it is celebrated in the Anti Ukraine government(Pro Russian) Donetsk People's Republic controlled territory of the Ukraine Warzone. DPR and Ukraine have been at war for almost 7 years now but the people still keep their faith. Easter is a huge holiday for Russians and they have many of the same traditions as the west but also many more. Yes Armenia was the first country in the world to be declared a Christian nation.
Khor Virap was a jail before it was a church and this is where Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned and was the events that directly led to the KIngdom of Armenia declaring Christianity as a state religion by King Tiridates in 301 AD near there in the then Armenian capital at Artashat after seeing Gregory had healing powers given by his Christian good.

The Kursk region of Russia has become a pivotal location in the ongoing conflict between Russian and Ukrainian forces. After months of absence, I returned to this region to gain an on-the-ground perspective of the situation. In an exclusive interview with Lieutenant General Apti Aronovich Alaudinov, Commander of the "Akhmat" Special Forces,Deputy Chief of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and a “Hero of Russia”, I delved into the complexities of the conflict, the state of the frontline, and broader geopolitical implications.

The Current State of the Kursk Frontline

Lieutenant General Alaudinov provided an update on the situation in the Kursk direction. According to him, Russian forces have regained control of a significant portion of the territory initially occupied by Ukrainian forces after their incursion into Russian territory.

“The situation is basically under control,” he stated. “The enemy is removing its military reserves from all directions to maintain a foothold here, but they are suffering huge losses. Every day, we are gradually pushing them away.”

General Alaudinov detailed recent counter-offensives by Ukrainian forces, including a significant operation near Novosotnitskoe and Berdin. Over two days, Russian forces reportedly destroyed 26 Ukrainian vehicles, including tanks and armored vehicles, while eliminating or capturing all personnel involved.

He suggested that without American financial and military aid, Ukraine would struggle to sustain its operations. Discussing former U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements about ending the conflict, Alaudinov speculated that Trump might pursue peace to distinguish himself from the Biden administration, which he believes bears responsibility for the situation.

“Trump is not a friend of Russia,” he remarked, “but he is a reasonable person who sees the global implications of this conflict. He may work to end it to avoid a broader escalation.”

A Message to the Ukrainian Soldier

The General extended a direct appeal to Ukrainian soldiers, emphasizing a shared cultural and historical bond between Russians and Ukrainians. “We are not enemies to each other; we are brothers,” he said. Alaudinov urged Ukrainian soldiers to lay down their arms, offering safety and acceptance to those who surrender.

He also criticized Ukrainian leadership for what he described as their willingness to fight “until the last Ukrainian” under pressure from Western powers.

The conversation touched on NATO’s expansion and its role in the conflict. Alaudinov reiterated longstanding Russian grievances, arguing that NATO's approach violated agreements made during the dissolution of the Soviet Union. “Russia is not an aggressor,” he asserted. “We are defending the interests of our country and striving to remain independent and sovereign.”
