For the last 8 years of the War in Ukraine, Ukraine has been firing on civilian areas In the Russian-populated areas of Donbass in a territory they do not control. This is a fact but you will never be told about it by the western mainstream media. In this report I show you a village,near Donetsk, that had a population of about 2200 people before the war but now only 18 residents remain. This is because of the attacks by Ukraine forces on the buildings and infrastructure of the village. Right now they have no Electric, Gas, or Ruining water. Still, there are daily attacks by Ukraine forces on their village. Attacking civilian areas is wrong no matter who is doing it. The fact that the western media ignores these people is a horrible reflection on society as a whole. I am not and can not be in the west of Ukraine, Kiev, Odessa so I can not show you what happens there. I have been reporting from Donbass for the last 8 years and have been doing my best to show you the facts that I see about what is happening here. The western media will not show you the facts that are not positive for Ukraine. Don't think it is because they cant. They can. For example, Reuters has had local cameramen employed on this side of the contact line for 8 years but the agency refuses to report on the war crimes committed by Ukraine. Will the world correct this problem in the media or will be led like sheep forever?

The Scene at Freedom Square
On my visit to Freedom Square in Tbilisi—amid ongoing protests—I discovered the NATO and EU Information Center situated prominently in the area. Upon approaching the center, I sought to learn more about its role, structure, and purpose. However, gaining access proved to be a challenge, as staff directed me to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for permissions to enter or film.

A Government-Linked Structure
After navigating through the layers of bureaucracy, I visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to seek clarity. Officials there confirmed that the NATO and EU Information Center is indeed part of their governmental structure. This revelation raises significant questions, as Georgia is neither a NATO member nor part of the European Union. Why, then, is an information center dedicated to these international organizations embedded within a Georgian government entity?

The Ministry explained that any filming or interviewing within the center required formal requests and approvals—a process unlikely to be completed during my short stay in the country. Despite the challenges, the information obtained underscores the center's official connection to the Georgian government.

Implications and Questions
This situation is intriguing for several reasons. First, it highlights the extent of Georgia's alignment with Western institutions despite not being a formal member of either NATO or the EU. Second, it raises concerns about the transparency of operations within such centers. Lastly, this arrangement could symbolize Georgia’s aspirations for deeper integration with Western alliances, a point of contention in its domestic and international politics.

Transparency and Accountability
As an independent journalist, I believe transparency is crucial when government resources are tied to foreign or international entities. The NATO and EU Information Center's position within a government structure warrants public discussion. Who oversees its operations, and how does it balance its mandate with Georgian sovereignty? West Finances Protesters & Opposition Through NGOs, Says NGO Head
In my latest report from Tbilisi, Georgia, I delve into the intricate role non-governmental organizations (NGOs) play in the country's political landscape, as shared by the head of one such NGO. Over the last seven days, I’ve been on the ground covering the unrest, protests, and broader political dynamics in Georgia. Many of you have asked me about the NGOs: what are they doing, and how do they influence events in this region? This report aims to answer these pressing questions.

Investigating NGOs: A Key Player Speaks Out

I met with Nana Kakabadze, a representative of the NGO "Former Political Prisoners for Human Rights," which is now part of "United Neutral Georgia." Nana shared her organization's journey from its roots as a Soviet-era dissident group to its focus on human rights after 1995. She also shed light on what she sees as a systemic misuse of NGOs by Western powers to influence Georgian politics.

Nana detailed how, since the 2003 Rose Revolution, NGOs initially focused on human rights and activism morphed into political tools. Many became intertwined with the government they were supposed to critique, allegedly violating the very principles they once upheld. According to her, these organizations, once funded by the West to champion democracy, began operating as vehicles for state-sanctioned oppression under the Saakashvili administration. This, she said, resulted in mass human rights abuses, including property confiscation, torture, and unlawful detentions.

The Role of Foreign Influence

Nana made strong allegations against Western nations, accusing them of funding political protests and opposition movements through NGOs. She explained that while foreign interference in a country’s politics is illegal, it continues covertly through these organizations. She argued that funds ostensibly for human rights projects are often diverted to political campaigns aimed at destabilizing the current government.

I witnessed firsthand how polarizing this narrative is. Protesters in Tbilisi claim they represent the will of all Georgians. However, when I moved beyond the protest sites and spoke to everyday citizens, especially older generations, they expressed skepticism about the protests, claiming that only a small portion of the population supports them.

The Push for Neutrality

Nana emphasized the importance of Georgia adopting a neutral policy, given its small size and strategic location. She criticized what she called “liberal fascism” emanating from the West, which, in her view, pressures Georgia to abandon its traditions and values in favor of Western ideological frameworks. She also highlighted the controversial demands made by Western institutions, such as repealing laws on NGO transparency and LGBT propaganda.

Double Standards and Sovereignty

Nana also pointed out what she sees as glaring double standards in Western policies. For instance, while the U.S. has laws like the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) to regulate foreign-funded entities, Georgia’s attempt to implement a similar law was labeled as Russian-inspired by Western critics. She argued that these laws are crucial for sovereignty and ensuring foreign funds are used transparently.

What Lies Ahead for Georgia?

In closing, Nana expressed hope for Georgia's future but warned that the country’s sovereignty must remain the priority. She emphasized the need to strike a balance between maintaining international partnerships and protecting Georgia’s independence. According to her, if Georgia continues to focus on its interests while fostering respectful relations with other nations, it could emerge as a strong and prosperous country.

Protesters Fire Pyrotechnics at Parliament Building
As unrest in Tbilisi, Georgia, enters its eighth consecutive day, tensions have reignited with protesters firing large pyrotechnics at the Parliament building, adding a dramatic escalation to what had been a relatively peaceful previous night. The demonstrations, sparked by the government's announcement to suspend EU accession talks until 2028, continue to draw significant crowds and intensify political division in the country.
