Today there has been wave after wave of explosions, not just in Kyiv, but all across Ukraine, from Lviv in the west to Kharkiv in the east and Odesa in the south.
This seems to be Russia's answer to the attack on the Crimean bridge 2 days ago which Russia has declared a terrorist attack by Ukrainian special services. This is a clear escalation of the war.
In this report, I talk to residents of Crimea and see what they think about the attack on the bridge and how they are dealing with Russian control of Crimea and what they think about Ukraine's vows to regain control of Crimea.

Today has been the heaviest day of fight this year. Artillery rained in to Donetsk destroying many homes and injuring at least one.
In This report I, journalist Patrick Lancaster, embedded with the Espanola brigade in the Russia-Ukraine war zone, Russian snipers offered their candid opinions on the recent U.S. presidential elections, Donald Trump’s victory, and his proposed peace plan for the ongoing Ukraine war. The report provides a rare perspective from soldiers actively engaged in the war, showcasing a mix of humor, pragmatism, and skepticism about Western politics.
"Trump is a Kremlin Agent": Humor?
One sniper, call sign "Yaryi," a deputy commander in the Espanola brigade, shared a tongue-in-cheek yet bold comment:
“Everybody knows Trump is a Kremlin agent! So we also voted for him!” he exclaimed with a laugh, suggesting that the brigade found Trump’s victory favorable. Though said humorously, it underscores a broader narrative of how Trump’s perceived approachability towards Russia is interpreted by those on the ground.
Another sniper, "Sever," emphasized their focus on the conflict itself, dismissing the significance of American politics:
“We have our own president and our own elections. We don’t care whom they vote for and what they do there.”
The Practical View: Politics vs. Combat
When asked about Trump’s promise to end the war, the soldiers remained cautiously optimistic but unconvinced. Sever remarked,
“They will decide this at the top—our president and theirs. We are warriors; we will keep fighting as long as it takes.”
Another soldier echoed this sentiment, adding that while leaders debate resolutions, the realities on the battlefield remain unchanged.
Historical and Geopolitical Reflections
One sniper offered a nuanced analysis of the war, describing it as a “natural historical process” born from competing national interests:
“America was pushing its interests, and we stood for ours. Conflicts like this are inevitable. They always have been, and they always will be.”
This perspective aligns with the broader Russian narrative that the war is a defensive effort to protect their homeland from external threats, such as what they perceive as rising nationalism and militarization in Ukraine.
Trump’s Peace Plan: Business Before Politics?
The soldiers expressed mixed views about Trump’s potential to de-escalate the war. One sniper highlighted Trump’s business mindset as a possible advantage:
“Trump is a businessman, not a politician. He understands the money of his country is in Ukraine. The best way forward is to bring that money back to Americans, not Ukrainians.”
While hopeful, many soldiers remained skeptical about whether Trump could or would deliver on his promises, as geopolitical realities often outweigh campaign rhetoric.
Lancaster’s Reporting: An Alternative Lens
Patrick Lancaster’s report is unique in its access and approach, giving a voice to those rarely heard in Western media. His work highlights the human element of the conflict, presenting not only the soldiers’ combat expertise but also their opinions on global politics, their sense of duty, and the ideological motivations behind their actions.
Lancaster’s concluding message calls for continued support for independent journalism:
“Like, share, and support our work. These stories need to be told, and it’s only possible with your help.”

Georgian Protests: Unveiling Political Complexities and Historical Perspectives
In my latest video report, I delve into the ongoing political unrest in Tbilisi, Georgia, where protests and clashes have gripped the nation for weeks. Reporting from the steps of the Georgian Court of Appeals, I bring you an in-depth perspective on the complex political dynamics through an exclusive interview with Gayla Nikolaishvili, a former political prisoner under the KGB, human rights lawyer, and former parliament member.

The Setting: Georgia in Turmoil
For over a month, Georgia has been at the epicenter of a political standoff following disputed elections. The ruling Georgian Dream Party, which secured over 50% of the vote, faces accusations of electoral fraud from a coalition of opposition parties. This has led to widespread protests, some escalating into violent confrontations. Protesters accuse the government of undermining democracy, while authorities counter that the opposition is inciting unrest to delegitimize the elections.
Gela Nikolaishvili: A Voice from History
In my interview, Nikolaishvili shares a unique perspective shaped by his experiences during the Soviet era and his role in Georgian politics. Once imprisoned for anti-Soviet activities, he spent 18 months in a KGB prison for distributing anti-communist leaflets. His personal history underscores his commitment to human rights and democracy, providing invaluable context to Georgia's current political struggles.
Nikolaishvili explains that the opposition’s primary grievance lies in their failure to secure a majority in the elections. While they received substantial support—40% nationwide and nearly 300,000 votes in Tbilisi—this was not enough to challenge the ruling party’s dominance. The opposition claims widespread fraud, but foreign observers and many citizens have disputed these assertions, finding no evidence of large-scale irregularities.
Western Influence and Domestic Tensions
Nikolaishvili highlights the role of the European Union (EU) in shaping Georgia’s political landscape. He notes that the EU’s criticism of recent Georgian laws, including those increasing transparency for NGO funding and limiting LGBTQ+ propaganda, has strained relations. The Georgian government’s refusal to repeal these laws has led to accusations of authoritarianism and triggered further tensions with Western powers.
Interestingly, Nikolaishvili points out what he perceives as a double standard in Western narratives. While past administrations accused of human rights violations were lauded as democratic, the current government’s resistance to certain Western demands has led to allegations of pro-Russian sentiment. “They think in the West, ‘If they don’t fulfill our demands, then they’re pro-Russian,’” Nikolaishvili observes, illustrating the challenges Georgia faces in balancing sovereignty and international alliances.
Freedom of Speech: A Contentious Debate
Addressing the freedom of speech, Nikolaishvili argues that opposition voices dominate Georgian media, with four opposition-aligned TV channels broadcasting continuously. While government-aligned outlets also exist, Nikolaishvili asserts that the claim of media suppression is exaggerated. However, he acknowledges instances where protesters have obstructed journalists from opposing viewpoints, underscoring the polarized nature of Georgia’s media landscape.
Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Georgia?
As protests persist, Nikolaishvili warns of heightened tensions in the lead-up to key political milestones, including the president-elect’s inauguration on December 29. The opposition’s refusal to recognize the election results raises the specter of prolonged political instability. Nikolaishvili predicts a dual power structure, with the outgoing president and opposition claiming legitimacy while the new administration seeks to consolidate authority.
Independent Thought
I conclude this report by emphasizing the importance of independent journalism in understanding Georgia’s complex political situation. It’s crucial to seek diverse sources and form your own educated opinions about what’s really happening.

DPR Head Press Conference For Foreign For Journalist
The Head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin met with Journalists from all over the world to discuss the situation in Donbass. Every medium was used to ensure representatives of media from any country could ask questions, even if they were not in Donetsk. For the journalists that were not in Donetsk there was a stream set up so people could ask questions over video from around the world.
At the press-con were journalists from USA, UK, France, Italy Russia, even Ukraine-controlled territory and more.
It was very good to see the western MSM not ignoring the DPR. I just hope they tell the truth. That is why I am translating this into English as no one else will.

On the Ground in Kursk: A Close Look at Russian Reconnaissance Training

In the Kursk region of Russia, the echoes of conflict remain vivid as the territory continues to bear witness to the unfolding events of the Russia-Ukraine war. Months after Ukrainian forces made a significant incursion, capturing around 1,500 square kilometers, Russian troops have regained control of over two-thirds of the contested land. To provide an unfiltered view of the reality on the ground, I traveled to the Kursk region to observe and document the preparation of Russian reconnaissance teams stationed near the frontline.
Training for the Frontline
Accompanied by a Russian reconnaissance unit from the Akhmat Special Forces Group, I witnessed their rigorous training exercises, which simulate potential combat scenarios with remarkable precision. Their mission: to stealthily approach enemy positions, avoid artillery fire, and establish strategic footholds.
One of the team leaders detailed their methodical approach. “We train daily, from morning till night,” he explained. “Our goal is to prepare for all possible situations we may encounter during actual missions. While it’s impossible to anticipate everything, we aim to be ready for anything.”
Despite the intensity of their training, the unit maintains a sense of purpose and professionalism. “This is simply our job,” another soldier remarked. “It’s challenging, but it’s what we do.”
The Perspective of Soldiers
Speaking candidly, the soldiers conveyed their hopes and thoughts about the broader conflict and its potential resolution. Many expressed optimism about the possibility of peace under future international leadership. “Donald Trump has promised to make peace,” one soldier said, referring to the former U.S. president’s return to power. “If he keeps his word, it could be a positive outcome for both sides.”
However, the sentiment was underscored by a firm resolve. “Russia cannot lose this conflict,” another soldier emphasized. “We don’t retreat under any circumstances. The only acceptable outcome is for the Ukrainian government to step back and accept the proposed conditions.”
The soldiers also highlighted the impact of foreign weapon supplies to Ukraine, suggesting that limiting these would be a crucial step toward de-escalation. “Nearly all the weapons we face are foreign-made,” one soldier noted. “Stopping these supplies could pave the way for peace.”
A Glimpse into Their Lives
Beyond the tactical and political discussions, I learned about the personal stories of the men I met. One soldier shared his journey from studying English in Vancouver at the age of 15 to now serving in the Russian armed forces. “I’ve been a soldier for two years,” he said, reflecting on his experiences and the path that brought him here.

In a gripping report from the Ukraine warzone, journalist Patrick Lancaster provides an eye-opening glimpse into the diversity within Russia's military efforts. Cuban Volunteers on the Frontline
The report focuses on two Cuban volunteers who have joined the Russian forces. One, nicknamed "Hitman," explains his motivation as fighting for “freedom and for Russia.” Having spent eight months in the conflict zone, Hitman expresses a desire to live in Russia while maintaining ties to his family in Cuba. He describes his role as fulfilling both personal and professional aspirations, seeing his position as a long-term commitment.
Another Cuban fighter, nicknamed "Debingo," highlights the historical camaraderie between Cuba and Russia, referring to their relationship as "brothers." As a volunteer, not part of the Cuban military, Debingo emphasizes his pride in serving with the Espanola Brigade, which he describes as an "excellent unit" and his "Russian brothers."
Ideological Motivation and Views on the Conflict
The Cuban volunteers express a commitment to fighting what they describe as "fas xcism," identifying Ukrainian forces and their leadership as adversaries. When asked why they are in the Ukraine war zone, both fighters point to a sense of tradition, ideological alignment, and loyalty to the Russian cause. Debingo, in particular, links his involvement to a family tradition of military service, stating his mission is to combat what he perceives as oppression.
Despite their limited English and the language barrier, their messages are clear: they believe in their cause, in Russia's victory, and in their contribution to what they view as a global fight for freedom.
Diversity in the Espanola Brigade
Lancaster notes that the Espanola Brigade comprises fighters from various countries, including Cuba and reportedly the United States. This international presence underscores the complexity of the conflict and the varied motivations of those involved. The inclusion of non-Russian volunteers highlights a broader ideological and cultural dimension to Russia's military efforts, transcending national boundaries.
A Call for Independent Thinking
Lancaster concludes the report by urging viewers to think critically and seek information beyond mainstream media narratives. He stresses the importance of exploring perspectives from both sides of the conflict, encouraging audiences to form their own opinions based on diverse sources.
Final Thoughts
This report sheds light on a little-known aspect of the Ukraine war: the participation of international volunteers fighting for Russia. The Cuban fighters’ accounts reveal their personal motivations, their allegiance to Russia, and their perspectives on the ongoing conflict. Lancaster’s work offers a rare look at the human stories behind the headlines, challenging viewers to consider the multifaceted nature of war and the individuals drawn into it.
As always, Lancaster reminds his audience to question conventional narratives, seek the truth, and support independent journalism to gain a fuller understanding of global events.

It is time to consider a one way trip to Ukraine for many people in Donetsk as many Ukraine travel restrictions are changing. The Ukraine travel ban of the DPR seems to be coming to an end.
Today, having considered all the pros and cons, the government of the Donetsk People’s Republic opened the Elenovka checkpoint for entry. Having visited the site, we will single out the main points for you: it is possible to enter the territory of Ukraine only with the registration in Ukraine and people that do leave DPR are to sign a document saying they are aware that they will not be able to return to the republic until COVID scare is over( and this was also confirmed by the border guards).
You can enter the DPR only with the approval of the interdepartmental headquarters (the application is filled on the website). People who were the first to come from Ukraine today said that they had filed their applications on June 22-23. You won’t be able to pass without an application, the lists are being checked already at the zero DPR checkpoint, so I advise you not get stuck in the grey zone again, do not risk it. As for the work of the checkpoint tomorrow, no one knows a thing; the information will come up closer to the evening time.
I will also go over the last 24 hours of attacks on the civilians of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.

Donetsk memorial to honour the civilians killed by Ukraine forces
So the Russian political scene has been shaken up intensely today.
First Russian President Vladimir Putin gave his state of the nation address in which he Expressed some unhappiness with the work of the government in the last year as well as outlining some proposed changes to the Russian constitution. The Western mainstream Media is jumped on these proposed changes saying that it's a Powerplay to extend his rule of Russia past 2024 wherein the current constitution he cannot run for president again. But in fact, there is nothing in these proposed changes that will allow him to run for another term. Actually this even makes presidential terms more stringent is far is the number of terms held. Currently a Russian president can be elected 2 times in a row and then they need to leave office and after they are not in office for at least one term they could be elected again but with his changes, it will be so just strictly to terms in total can be available for a single person to be president of Russia. In fact, it is proposed changes take some Powers away from the presidency in gives more power to the parliament for example with these changes the parliaments will be able to appoint the prime minister and and the rest of the ministers in the government. In the future video we will go more in-depth on these proposed changes to the constitution. Now we're going to talk about the fact that after Vladimir Putin's state of the nation address the current prime minister Dmitry Medvedev made it live press conference with Putin giving his and the basically entire Russian government resignation. This resignation includes himself and the other 31 Ministries in the Russian government. He cited article 117 of the Russian constitution in accordance with this and where is request the government will stay in their acting positions until a new government is put in place. This live broadcast President Putin thanks the prime minister and suggested that he will be giving him a new job that he is creating chairman of the Security Council. Actually be giving up some of his power and granting them to the snow position. Sergei Markov, a political consultant in Moscow who advises the Kremlin said “Putin needs a government that’s a driver of economic growth and Medvedev wasn’t effective,”. Never going to have a look with full English translations the full press conference between President Putin and the Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Please comment below and let me know what you think also like the video, subscribe and share across all social media.
